Für so ziemlich jeden Krempel an Dateien gibt es ein Umwandlungsprogramm in ein anderes Format. Findige Leute basteln dann ein kostenpflichtiges Program daraus und verticken jenes an den willigen Käufer. Natürlich getrennt. Ein Paket für Audio – 19,99 Euro, eines für Video – 19,99 Euro und so weiter. Allerdings gibt es sowas auch als Freeware und nennt sich FormatFactory.
Für die Kategorien Video, Audio, Bilder, Mobilgeräte und ISOs stehen Umwandler zur Verfügung. Obwohl es solche Programme schon seit langem gibt, ist die Klingeltonindustrie noch nicht gestorben – denn selbst Low-Brainer sollten mit FormatFactory einen Klingelton aus einem Musikstück erstellen können.
